El Tiempo Latino held a Happy Hour to celebrate its new alliance with the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) in Washington DC. The event also served to celebrate the end of summer and to connect with the Hispanic community in the area.

Prominent personalities from the local and federal government, as well as representatives of non-profit organizations and the private sector, attended the event. The event was an opportunity to strengthen ties, make connections, and ratify the importance of El Tiempo Latino as a bridge between the Latino community and various sectors.

Luisana Pérez Fernández, director of Hispanic media of the Joe Biden Administration, was a special guest at the event. She shared a brief conversation with Rafael Ulloa, vice president of communications for El Tiempo Latino, in which she spoke about her experiences as a Latina woman in a high-ranking position.

“Even though there are obstacles, even though there are times when a Latina feels like they didn’t give her the opportunity, not letting herself fall and see how she can create that opportunity for herself and for those who come after.” Luisana Pérez Fernández, director of Hispanic media, White House.

Pérez Fernández encouraged the audience to persevere in the face of obstacles and to create opportunities for themselves and others. She also spoke about the importance of El Tiempo Latino in connecting the Latino community with the world.

Javier Marín, president of the Board of Directors of Tiempo Company, stressed the importance of giving space to the community and of being at the service of whoever needs it.

The Happy Hour was a success and it was a great opportunity to reaffirm the importance of El Tiempo Latino as a bridge between the Latino community and various sectors.

“This is a good link between the entire community and the government. So it is a good platform for all of us to help each other, among information about the resources that are in our cities”. Jackie Reyes, Director of Community Affairs, DC Mayor’s Office.
